If your clients run Odoo Online, modules are not an option

Forecasting apps on the Odoo Apps Store are installable modules, and modules can only be installed on Odoo.sh and on-premise. On Odoo Online there is no way to install one, so the usual answer to "add forecasting inside Odoo" is closed off before you start.

Cash Flow Frog connects to Odoo Accounting as an authorized read-only connection rather than as a module. That works identically on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and on-premise, with nothing installed in the database and nothing to re-test when Odoo ships a new version. Odoo compatibility

Odoo edition: Community and Enterprise both work. There is no edition requirement. What the forecast has to work with depends on which accounting apps are installed.
Hosting: Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and on-premise, all supported the same way.
Versions: Odoo 16.0 through 19.0. Odoo 20.0 to follow after the September release.
Installed in your database: Nothing. The connection is external and read-only.
Application read: With Accounting installed: invoices, bills, payments, transactions and account balances. With Invoicing only: your invoices.

Does Odoo do cash flow forecasting?

Odoo includes a historical cash flow statement and reports like aged payable and receivable, which show where your cash has been. It does not include a native forward cash flow forecast. To project future cash inside Odoo you would install a third-party module from the Apps Store and configure it. Cash Flow Frog connects to your Odoo data and builds a rolling 36-month forecast automatically.

Will Cash Flow Frog change my Odoo data?

No. The connection to Odoo is read-only. Cash Flow Frog reads your invoices, bills, payments, transactions and account balances, and it cannot create, edit or delete anything in Odoo. Your forecast, scenarios and manual adjustments live in Cash Flow Frog, so nothing you do while planning touches your accounting records.

Do I need to leave Odoo to use Cash Flow Frog?

No. Odoo stays your system of record. Your team keeps invoicing, paying bills and reconciling in Odoo exactly as they do now. Cash Flow Frog reads that data and builds the forward view on top of it, so you are adding a planning layer rather than moving off your ERP.

How far ahead can Cash Flow Frog forecast?

Up to three years, rolling. You can view the forecast daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly, so you can look at next week's cash position and your three-year outlook in the same tool. The forecast updates automatically every day as new Odoo data comes in.

Can Cash Flow Frog break the forecast down by my Odoo dimensions?

Can I consolidate multiple Odoo companies?

How is this different from installing an Odoo forecasting module?

A module has to be installed in your Odoo database, which means it only runs on Odoo.sh and on-premise. If you are on Odoo Online you cannot install one at all. A module also needs configuring, and it has to be migrated and re-tested every time you upgrade Odoo. Cash Flow Frog connects to Odoo Accounting as an authorized read-only connection instead, so there is nothing in your database, nothing to configure and nothing that breaks on upgrade. Does Cash Flow Frog include VAT and GST in the forecast?

Yes. Cash Flow Frog forecasts the actual cash movement, so it uses the gross amounts recorded on your Odoo invoices and bills, tax included. What you see is the money that will leave or arrive in the bank, not the net-of-tax figure.
