Account mapping

Organize your accounting data so it's easy to view and understand.

Account mapping allows you to change the structure of the data that is integrated from your accounting software. Define what accounts go into which categories so that your reports are easy to understand.

  • Structure

Organize your data.

Organize your data so that your reports are more intuitive and easier to understand. Here are a couple of examples:

  • Divide sales in Canada and sales in the US into two categories:
Let’s say your business has customers in the USA and Canada and you want to have two separate Sales categories, one for each country. Use Account mapping to create two categories and name them ‘Sales in Canada’ and ‘Sales in the US’ Move the Canadian accounts under ‘Sales in Canada’ and the US accounts under ‘Sales in the US’.
  •  See all software related expenses in one category:
Let’s say your business has a few software related expenses that are included in several different categories, making it difficult to know how much you spend on software in total. Create a new category and name it ‘Software expenses’ and move all relevant accounts into it.
  • Data Sanctity

Edit freely, your data is safe.

It doesn’t matter if you use Xero, QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online. Any changes you make will not affect your accounting software. In fact, your forecasts will not be affected either, only the way your accounts are structured.

"Quick & simple to use"

"Tried a few other apps. This one was the quickest and simplest to use. Get it set up right and you'll have the data you need at a glance. Great support too."
