Including invoices and receipts from last VAT period
Can I include some invoices and receipts from my last VAT Period in my next VAT return and if so where do I get what VAT needs to be claimed from?
Quickbooks Online will include the invoices and receipts automatically. It’ll show them separately on the vat return page.
Watch out though as the amount that shows in qbo before you press submit does not include the exceptions. Had this a few times where I have sent a screen shot to client from the vat 100 summary and then when I went to submit it went up by alot due to the exceptions.
The submitted amount should include the exceptions if they are correct. If they are incorrect they should be removed. The exceptions column is there to highlight the out of date range entries so you check them .
