Bookkeeping is usually an issue business owners DON’T want to deal with… but they HAVE to.

If you’re able to show your prospects that you understand this and are able to take everything off their hands you will be able to grow a successful and scalable bookkeeping business.

Money only cares about problems and will show up where these big problems are being solved…

So… if you’re able to solve a BIG problem, such as cash flow, or even regulatory / compliance issues….

…then your bookkeeping business will start reaping monetary benefits at a much more scalable level than ever before.

Solve big problems -> Get paid -> Repeat

The smart ones already know they need accounting and the not-so-smart ones learn the hard way, when they suddenly can’t pay bills anymore or provide proper financial statements to get a loan, or pay penalties for missing tax deadlines, or have services cut off for bills not paid timely or just run their business into the ground since they have been running business blindly without accurate financial information to make proper business decisions.

In my industry (Govt contractors), businesses are required to have appropriate accounting systems in order to be awarded contracts and must pass accounting system audits, so same answer as above. The smart ones know they must have accounting done properly and the not-so-smart ones, those in denial, or those who attempt DIY, usually learn the hard way when the can’t win contract or pass audit.

You offer your free financial audit for free and point out what they need to improve. I believe that if point out a problem and you also give them solution you can leverage your knowledge and skills in accounting
